The 700'000 Heures Journey

700’000 Heures was created in 2018 by Thierry Teyssier.
It is an ephemeral itinerant travel experience.

Each year, 700’000 Heures sets up its trunks in a remote part of the world and offers its members the opportunity to discover the destination through authentic and unforgettable moments of life.

700’000 Heures is the sum of Thierry Teyssier’s twenty years of entrepreneurial experience in hospitality.

The wealth of experience, authenticity and encounters have woven the hospitality proposed by Thierry Teyssier. These are the values that have created and carry Dar Ahlam, la route de Mémoire, his ephemeral hospitality projects and the 700’000 Heures experience of today.

“In 2023, 700’000 Heures will be one of the pioneers of permanent regenerative hospitality.

Its action aims to think in systems and to replicate its model of regenerative hospitality in a large number of destinations to co-construct a sustainable and virtuous tourism. The pilot project is in Tiskmoudine, in the South of Morocco

Its actions have always supported the valorisation of local communities and the preservation of the surrounding nature. Over the years, the commitment made by 700’000 Heures has become a mission: to work for the regeneration of local communities and the planet.

A responsibility shared with our clients and our partner Regenopolis, as we contribute together to regeneration projects. Regenopolis is an international company founded by Diane Binder and offering a systemic and operational approach to regeneration.

The birth of DAEM

Since the beginning of the 700,000 Hours adventure, in Salento, Italy, we have been accompanying the local communities that welcome us.

Anxious to make our hotel experience part of a sustainable development process in favour of the environment and local communities, we created Daem (which means “permanent” in Persian) at the end of 2019.

Daem honours four objectives in favour of the destinations we visit:

  • Contribute to economic development
  • Empowering local communities: hospitality training
  • Protecting endangered cultural assets
  • Restore fragile natural ecosystems
